We need You!

3 min read
First of all, I'm sorry I've been away for so long. I've got deviations in my list that are as old as July 2007, and I'm very ashamed I haven't commented on them yet. And the longer this list grows, the smaller the chance I'll ever get to check them out.
Ok, so I've been ill for months, and I'm quite busy, but those are no excuses at all. Sure, I have also written very little as of late; every time I try it turns out bad. For some reason I can't "surpass" Ways of the Phoenix, which I already wrote half a year ago or so. It's not that there's little to write about, there's plenty as always.

So, I'll try to comment and write more. Try, mind you.

In the meantime, I need your help.
I've talked to many people on my watchlist about the forum that has become my online home over the last two and a half year. I invited some of you, and there are several among you who have been active members once. However, this forum (or phorum, really), is slowly but surely dying because of a lack of new members. The old ones have become a close group, but without new blood there will be no fresh discussions, no new people to meet and become friends with.
So, this is the time I invite all you people in my watchlist (and others who happen to be passing by) to take a look, register and post in phorum.surrealm.net . Why? Because I think most people in my watchlist would fit in very well and would quickly appreciate or even love the place.

Now, what is this fuss all about? How can a simple thing like an internet forum be so important? Because it's not just a forum, it's the phorum. There is place for anything on it: discussions about literature, photography, music (it started out as some bands' phorum), other art forms, philosophy, religion, politics, mundane business, etc etc. There's also plenty of room for funny stuff, complete nonsense, or whatever occupies your mind at the moment. All of this is mixed with a big amount of respect for each other's opinions and especially feelings without getting all cheesy. In short, it consists of everything that makes a good Irish pub such a great place, except for the drinks. It's a place fit for people all over the world (as long as they speak/write English well enough to make themselves clear) and of all ages: Our oldest member is well in his fifties, while we've also had 14-year olds.

Today I ask the people who have been active members in the past: come back. We need you.
Today I ask the people who have already registered but never got to post: give it a try. Don't hesitate to jump in and post.
Today I ask everyone who has never registered or even heard of the place: come join us. We'll happily welcome every single one of you and you will not be disappointed!

If you have any questions at all about the phorum, please don't hesitate to ask me. I'll help you whenever I can :)

And if you are not interested at all: I'm sorry for spamming you, but if you know me, you know how important that special place is for me.

Cheers!

Last week I came back again, head high in the clouds. My holiday in Ireland was way beyond amazing, and I'd virtually kill to be there again. I saw so much beauty of all kinds, and I found the happiness again I'd been looking for so long. It feels like an important turning point in my life.
I will post some interesting pictures soon, and you're of course all most welcome to comment. I do not pretend that my photos come even close to those of the really good photographers among us, but when I look around on DA I'm under the impression that they're good enough to be posted here (or at least not worse than some others).

Starting psychology next to sociology is a pure organisational disaster. It seems no-one has heard of the possibility of doing two studies at once, and worse, the time schemes (once you've actually figured them out) are almost impossible to combine. Ah well, exit vacation, enter normal life. I'm ready once again.

Hope you all enjoyed your summer holiday, or if you didn't have one, at least had a good time! I'd love to hear about your vacations, in any case.
Oh, and I will try to reduce my alarmingly huge list of deviations-to-check.

Off to Ireland

1 min read
Well, just that, so you don't wonder why I don't answer any comments. In an hour or so I'll leave for two weeks of, well, rain. You might have noticed I submitted the fifth part of the Scarlet Nightmare series a few days ago. Take the time to read, but please do read: I love nearly all comments.

Ta-ta for now.

A little break

1 min read
I had half finished the fifth part of the Scarlet Nightmare series when I went to my parents' place, and I forgot to send myself the writing. Considering the fact that I will be here for another two weeks, only to be off to a holiday of another week, you should not expect me to submit much more for a while. As a matter of fact, I'm hopelessly behind on all the stuff you dear people submitted over the past few weeks, and I've decided upon taking a little holiday from deviantart too. I'll still scan my messages every now and then, but don't count on me being very active for the rest. It may remain this way until, say, the end of august when I'm back from a two-week trip to Ireland.

Behave while I'm gone, everybody. Don't make anything in here explode.

Aye, it's summer again, meaning I'll be having even more spare time than usual the next few months. What are your plans for the summer, folks? I'm off to the wonderful crowded little island of Schiermonnikoog at the beginning of August with some friends, and the second half of that month I'll be spending with another friend on a decidedly different island: Ireland. Should be fun. Probably I'll even have bought a camera by then, so I can spam your messageboxes with crappy photos when I return.

But right now I'm busy enough writing. My average over the last half year has been, like, one deviation a month, but that's over now. Prepare thyself for a flood of writings. Ah well, prepare thyself for a few writings, then. The Scarlet Nightmare series has only just begun, and at this speed I won't be finished for a few years... Hell, my main characters will probably die of old age before the story's over, which would be a pity because I've got an entirely different ending in mind for them.

Oh yeah, next year I'll be doing an extra study, because I've been bored every now and then this year. Curious if I'll be able to do both sociology and psychology... I will have to do a bit more work, that's for sure.

For the moment, I'm content. Don't let yourself be fooled by me writing dark poetry or stories, or listening to some really depressed music. That's what I like, not what I am.
